A new marina community, Hoakalei, is under development in West Oahu and is planned as an oceanfront resort destination. The first phase of Ka Makana (“the gift”) is currently being built and will be available towards the end of 2008, with a swim club and condominium phase to follow. Beautifully appointed single family model homes are available for previewing. The new Ernie Els championship golf course and Country Club are targeted for completion in November. The resort will ultimately feature numerous shops and restaurants, a ten-story hotel and spa, a beach and canoe club, and marina promenade.
